I'm Nicole Mosher and I'm a cheerleader...

While attending the University of Guelph, I decided to try out for the team.  This was when I fell in love with this sport; I was hooked from the first tryout!

It didn't take long to learn that strength, dedication and teamwork were the qualities that made a good cheerleader.  Within those first few hours, any stereotypes I held about "your typical cheerleader" were blasted away forever.  This is a tough sport, these are real athletes and most of all, some of the best people I have ever met.

I have been a cheerleader for 8 years.  I was a part of the U of G All-Girl team and later on their Co-Ed team.  I have been a FlyGirl instructor and coached cheerleading teams in Nova Scotia and Alberta for the past 6 years.  I am a member of the Calgary Xtreme Stunt Team for the Calgary Roughnecks Lacrosse Team.  I currently coach the St. Mary's High School Cheerleading Team and the Calgary Xtreme Sparx (youth team), and the Calgary Xtreme TNT (junior team).

Outside of my many hours as a volunteer coach, I also serve as a volunteer on the board of the Alberta Cheerleading Association, in the capacity of their Calgary Zone Director, and I am an active volunteer for the Calgary Stampede.  I have a full-time career in the oil and gas industry in Calgary.  In 2003, I obtained a B.A. (Hon.) in Political Science from the University of Guelph .

Cheerleading has taught me a thousand life lessons.  I am working to ensure others have a similar experience with this amazing sport.

THIS AIN'T YO MAMMA'S CHEERLEADING!
